INSULATING FIRE BRICKS AND DENSE BRICKS

JM ™ Insulating Fire Bricks

Thermal Ceramics JM Insulating Bricks are specifically designed to meet the needs of temperature containment in several industries as porcelain, terracotta, pottery, furnaces recreation manufacturing, and production of primary aluminium. In recent years they have also found many applications in the petrochemical, cogeneration, reactors, industrial furnaces, ...

The advantages of the insulating Fire Brick

  • Low thermal conductivity resulting in an excellent thermal insulation
  • Low heat storage offering significant energy savings in thermal cycles
  • High purity (very low in iron and alkalis). Excellent aging in reducing atmosphere
  • Resistance to high heat compression
  • Wide variety of sizes and shapes
  • Packaging of cartons, making easier handling on site

The JM ™ range

JM23, JM26, JM28, JM30, JM32: classification from 1260°C to 1790°C (2300°F to 3254°F)

The Brick JM23 has been tested in a laboratory in England and its insulation performance has been confirmed in a report you can read online.

Dense Bricks

The dense Bricks of alumina content ranging from 30 to 65% are characterized by very high mechanical strength combined with a high pyrometer cone equivalent (pyroscopie). Very refractory but a very little insulation, thus they are used in industrial furnaces, smoke chimneys, industrial boilers, siderurgy, foundry, ... and in the manufacture of mass stoves.

Diatomite Bricks

The diatomite bricks have due to their composition a high insulation value associated with a medium mechanical strength which intend them for a use in undercoating. These bricks are available in standard sizes 220x110x60 and 230x114x64.
