REFRACTORY AND INSULATING CASTABLES

Thermal Ceramics has its range of castables which can be used by casting, gunning, trowelling, damage. The choice is made according to the structure to fill. A wall can be equipped with a single concrete as a complex multi-layer, depending on the environment.

Specific references were developed for very high temperatures, metal contact, resistance to grinding, wear resistance and resistance to thermal shocks.

The range has been organized by the following families:

Insulating castables

These concretes are used for temperature containment in high-temperature systems. They can be used both in hot face as in undercoating behind linings of higher density.

Firelite ®, Kaolite®, Tri-Mor ® are registered trademarks of Thermal Ceramics.

Dense castables

The high alumina content concretes offer good performance in most applications. They are easily installed by pouring or gunning.

Firecrete ®, Kaocrete ®, Tri-Mor ® are registered trademarks of Thermal Ceramics.

Low cement castables

As their name suggests, these concretes are made with a cement content of about 5 to 7%. They contain fine loads and dispersants that significantly reduce their need for mixing water and optimize their physical properties.

Trimor®, Hicast ®, Morflo ®, Higun® are trademarks of Thermal Ceramics.

Technical castables

The Thermal Ceramics range also includes special-purpose cements:

Tri-Mor Alcast, Albond, Alumor, Alcoat for contact with molten aluminium
Tri-Mor Plastic, Morbond, Morgun for contact with molten metal

Cements and Mortars

Airset, Blakite, Triset, JM

These cements and grained mortars are available dried or ready-to-use. They are used for assembling bricks and fibres modules in furnace linings.

Blakite cement, ready-to-use and worldwide known, is the ideal product for the masonry of JM insulating bricks and all refractory bricks in general.

Mastics and glues

ThermaFix: creamy refractory glue for bonding fibre on fibre, fibre / metal, fibre / brick, fibre / concrete.

Mastic fibres: charged of organic fibres, this mastic can repair cracks in linings by injection or trowelling.
