HIGH-TEMPERATURE INSULATING FIBRES

The high-temperature insulating fibres find their applications in insulation for industrial ovens, petrochemical, ceramic industry, glass industry, siderurgy, ...

The advantages of high-temperature insulating fibres:

  • Protect men and equipment against excessive temperatures
  • Reduce greenhouse gas emissions
  • Reduce energy consumption
  • Improve the efficiency of ovens and thermal equipments

Typical applications of high-temperature insulating fibres:

  • Gas and coal power plants
  • Heat treatment furnaces
  • Terracotta, ceramic and porcelain kilns
  • Metallurgy
  • Siderurgy
  • Isolation of chimneys
  • Electrical goods
  • Automotive (FAP, airbag, …)

Superwool®

Superwool is a wool of high-temperature insulating, composed of silicate alkaline fibres. Superwool is exonerated from carcinogenic classification and meets the requirements requested under NOTA Q of the European directive 67/548/CEE. All Superwool® fibre products are exonerated from classification & labelling regulation in Europe.

The Superwool™ technology is patented by Thermal Ceramics. In use for over 15 years.

Superwool was developed to be an alternative to the RCFs (Refractory Ceramic Fibres) due to its biosolubility and its exoneration. Superwool® products line offers alternatives to the RCFs in the majority of industrial applications. Waste from Superwool® applications are exempt from classification.

The Thermal Ceramics Superwool™ technology is available in many forms such as : Fibre bulk, blanket, panel, felt, paper, molded vacuum fibre, Pyrolog®, Pyrobloc®, Z-bloks® and sealants.
